Piglet and Maggie

Kaitlin loves Maggie, she is completely fascinated by her. When Maggie is near Kaitlin always reaches out and tries to touch her, she will talk to her, and squeals with delight if Maggie gives her a kiss. So this morning we took a few pictures of Kaitlin lovin on Maggie.
Notice in all the pictures how I'm trying to hide? I didn't want anyone to see my ratty shirt and the dark circles under my eyes.

Finally Maggie gets to love on Kaitlin and I'm not in the picture.

For Daddy

Today Mom and I left for Oxford to celebrate my Uncle Brian's birthday. Unfortunately we had to leave Daddy behind. I know that he is missing me and would want to give me a present since today I am 4 months old. Mom is going to take me shopping but we will be missing Daddy the whole time. So here are a couple of pictures so Daddy won't miss me too much.
I love you Daddy!
Your little Piglet.

Piglet's First Sox Game

Got to go to our very first Sox game last week. Our niece Caroline came along with us. We had a great time, but there were some ummm difficulties that come along with bringing a baby to a baseball game. This is where our seats were. Piglet was doing great until the Rays were announced. When it got real loud, Piglet got real upset. So we moved here. The problem was we moved during the top of the first, when Papi hit a 3 run homer and Lowell followed up with a solo shot to the section we were originally sitting in. Kaitlin was wore out by about the 6th inning. It was a good game to go to. The Sox won 13-5. There were some happy Sox fans. Pedroia the Destroiah, rounding the bases during batting practice. We spent some time with family in Jacksonville as well. Kaitlin got to visit her Papa and Nana Baxley. Caroline got to ride the golf cart. She's growing up so fast. Piglet went to the beach for the first time. She was fascinated by the waves, the moon, the sounds. She even dipped her feet in the water. All that traveling sure does wear a girl out. Here are a few more random pictures:

Happy bath time!!!

What to do?

Chad left for Savannah this morning and he didn't take me. We thought that it would be best if I stayed behind since he will be coming back tomorrow and it will be raining due to hurricane Hannah. I'm thinking about renting a cute movie and getting some chinese food, I guess that will depend on Kaitlin. Sunday night she slept for 8 hours straight, it was sooo great. The last two nights she hasn't been sleeping so well, she woke up every two hours last night and woke up every 3 hours the night before. I hope that she's teething and it's not an earache or just that she likes to be held. Right now she is catching up on the sleep that she missed form last night so I am going to go work on my scrapbook.

Baptism and Plenty to Say

Piglet got to spend some time with her cousins this weekend. They're going to be such great babysitters, and good influences. Just like their Momma was with Me..... On second thought, when she gets older, Piglet's going to have such a good SUPERVISED time with her cousins.
I got a quick video of Piglet talking to her Daddy this weekend. She's a little camera shy so she always stops showing out right when I start filming. Talk about cute though.
She was also baptised this past weekend. I'm so grateful for the wonderful family that came to enjoy this special day with us. Here are Piglet's relatives who came from out of town:
Uncle Keith, Aunt Joan, Cousin Erin, Papa Jack (Whacky Jacky), Granna (Big Momma), Uncle Biggie, Papa, Aunt Lynn, Cousin Caroline, Cousin Olivia, and Nana Mac.
The Explanation of Infant Baptism
The Sprinkling
Papa Jack's prayer
Daddy doing the 3rd sacrament, The Presbyterian Dance. (Just kidding)

Since we were all dressed up pretty, we decided to take some family pictures.

Unfortunately some people had already taken off before we decided to take pictures.

Scorpion

We saw this a few weeks ago just a few feet from Kaitlin while she was playing on her activity mat. That was the one and only time that I have ever seen a scorpion but I have no clue if there are more near our house. Has/does anyone else have a scorpion problem? What did you do to get rid of them.

Piglet's 3 Months Old

Yesterday Kaitlin turned 3 months old, it's hard to believe.

Here are a few facts about her at the 3-month stage.

1. She has started playing with toys. Rattles, her little Winnie the Pooh Bear, her blanket. She can actually grab them now. Piglet's still working on a tennis racket, but her hand isn't big enough to get around the handle yet. We'll keep working at it.

2. She's been sleeping through the night much more and less during the day.

3. She's loves to talk, well at least trying to. That is definitely something she gets from her Momma. We've been practicing saying Da-da and Yankees Stink about 15 minutes a day. She's working hard, but not there yet. Right now it sounds like aaaaaaaahhh!!! Not a cry, but a happy sound. I think Momma is confusing her during the day with other words she'd rather her say first.

4. She likes her Gator Mobile and the ceiling fan.

5. She's getting close to sitting up on her own. She still needs a little help though.

6. I put her in a standing position and she can hold herself up with help for about 10-15 seconds. Then she wants to rest. It looks like she's on a surf board.

7. I think she's got her Daddy's toes. They are all curled up and funny looking.

8. Her eyes have turned to a really dark brown, almost black. Her Great-Grandfather Totherow has the same color eyes.

9. Her hair is still a reddish tint, but its getting to be a darker reddish brown. It used to be more of a light reddish brown. The mullet is really starting to grow in. Still not much on top, just on the sides and back. Hopefully she will not have hair like her Daddy.

That is all for now. I'm sure we'll have more pictures from this upcoming weekend. She is getting baptised Sunday.

This Week

Kaitlin went for her 2 month well check on Monday. the doctor said that she was doing great and is 90% in weight at 13 lbs 13 oz and 60% in height at 23 1/2 inches. She also had some shots, 2 in each leg. Kaitlin was so cute just smiling away as I held her arms and the nurses had her legs and then she went to screaming as soon as gave her the first shots. Thankfully she calmed down fairly soon and slept the entire ride to Oxord. Here she is all nice and happy in Oxford. We came to Oxford for 2 reasons. One because Maggie has been here since we left for Savannah and the other is because Monday was Dad's birthday. He took off from work, slept in, did some yardwork, played golf, and ate his favorite dessert homemade banana icecream. Here he is with Kaitlin few weeks ago.

Here Kaitlin is with Granna. I know last time we talked about her name being Nana She She, Grandma, or Red but for some reason Mom wasn't too thrilled about any of those names so she's trying this one out for a few weeks.

Talkin Smack

Boston Second Baseman Dustin Pedroia is really climbing the ladder of my list of favorite players. Although I'm usually not a fan of loud mouths, or people that talk too much in general, this article made me like him even more.

And I'm just going to go on record and say that Manny is a punk.

Hey Y'all

We're in Savannah this week. Its a work trip for me, vacation for Chrissy and Piglet. It has been hot all week, except this afternoon when it started pouring down rain. Piglet was the only one not to get wet. Chrissy's highlight was going to Paula Dean's restaurant, "The Lady and Sons". Great food. I'd say its almost as good as Minnies in Columbus. On with the pictures!!

Kaitlin was happy to be on vacation. She has had a ball
We spent the first few nights walking around the city, but Chrissy got her wish and we ended up at The Lady and Sons on Wednesday.

Outside the Lady and Sons
Happy, but full

We had to walk off all of the good food we had. There are so many neat things to see in Savannah.

Walking on the river was fun.

But all that walking sure was tiring

Piglet wasn't too sure about the trolley tour. Whats up with this whole sticker thing? But after we got going, she realized how much fun it could be. Notice Piglet is wearing a different outfit than the picture before? That was the result of a big poopy. Mommy is getting so good at diaper duty (no pun intended on the duty part), that she changed the diaper and clothes in Piglet's carseat on the trolly while it was moving. No wonder I always want her to do it.
